A part of the construction industry since 2003, Colin’s primary focus has been the building envelope industry. Colin has worked in roles from drafting, project management, estimating and sales, he’s had opportunities to experience the industry from every angle. His current role as CMC’s Estimating Manager means he is the first touchpoint with our clients and ensures the scope is clear, so that their projects may smoothly sail to completion.

Today, Colin finds the most rewarding part of his position at Custom Metal Contracting to be helping customers find solutions to problems through assisting with budgets, exploring value engineering options, identifying systems that better suit their needs, and pointing out areas that may be providing more performance than the project requires.

Colin manages the estimating team with the goal of providing competitive pricing to our customers, finding opportunities to offer value engineering options, and helping clients solve budget and construction-related issues at the tender stage. He is proud of CMC’s continued success with finding new ways to provide more scope coverage to our customers.

Colin will tell you that his main focus is on providing a useful, detailed quotation, including scopes of work to help customers identify gaps before they become a concern.
