Compact Laminate is a double faced (DF), high pressure laminate (HPL). The material is produced in lamination presses with great pressure and high temperatures. Several layers of kraft paper are impregnated with thermosetting resins, which are bonded in high pressure processes. Coloured sheets of decorative paper are impregnated with melamine resins are then applied to both sides of the surface.
